The European Commission released
their monthly economic sentiment report which was in line with consensus at
92.5.
Germany released their consumer
price index report for July which came in slightly higher than expected on a
monthly basis, 50bps Vs 40bps.
On the domestic front, the FOMC
meeting begins their two day monetary policy decision making meeting.
The SP Case-Shiller 20-city index
report on housing prices which came in lower than consensus in May on a monthly
basis, 1.0% Vs 1.3%.
The Conference Board’s consumer
sentiment index came in lower than expected for July, 80.3 Vs 81.0.
Manufacturing PMI in Japan came
in lower than expected for July, 50.7 Vs 52.5.
