Italy started the global economic
calendar off today with a report on consumer prices. The report was in line
with consensus on a monthly and yearly basis rising 30bps and 120bps
respectively.
Industrial production in the
Eurozone for May was declined 30bps on a monthly basis and 130bps on a yearly
basis.
On the domestic front, producer
prices in the US increased 80bps versus consensus of 50bps on a monthly basis.
The University of Michigan consumer
sentiment index came in slightly below consensus, 83.9 versus 84.1.
