Over in Europe we got a read on
consumer prices. Eurozone Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices report showed a
modest increase in consumer prices. On a month over month basis, prices rose
10bps. On a year over year basis, prices rose 140bps.
On the domestic front, Producer
Prices in the US for May rose 50bps on a month over month basis. This exceeded
Econoday’s consensus of 20bps.
Industrial production in the US
was flat for the month of May, coming in at 0% on a month over month basis.
Rueter’s/University of Michigan’s
US Consumer Sentiment report came in lower than expected, 82.7 vs 84.5.
